Greetings Members and Friends!
You are invited to meet with members and friends of the Des Moines Chapter, Iowa Council of the United Blind (ICUB), Monday evening, November 14, 2022, at the Department for the Blind building, 524 Fourth St. The doors to the Assembly Room will open at 5:00 p.m., so come mix and mingle prior to our meeting. The meeting will begin with call-to-order promptly at 5:30 p.m.
This month we will be holding elections for the 2023 chapter board, making plans for our holiday party, discussing scholarship opportunities for the ACB mid-year legislative conference, and getting an update on our Pack the Pantry campaign!
Don't forget to bring your pantry items. We are collecting nonperishable food items, individual size condiments and spices, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, and hygiene items such as shampoo and conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, razors and deodorant. We are also accepting new or gently used clothing.

***Please note: To attend in person you must enter on the north side of the IDB building, the Watson-Powell side. Doors will only be unlocked for a limited time, between 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. If you arrive prior to the 5:30 PM meeting time, you are asked to please wait in the IDB library on the first floor or in the Assembly Room.
